Weight Loss
Semaglutide (brand names Wegovy or Ozempic)
is a FDA-approved medication for adult weight management. It is the first drug of its kind approved for this purpose. Semaglutide mimics a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), which regulates food intake and appetite. The average weight loss is 15% of one’s body weight.
Tirzepatide (brand names Monjouro or Zepbound)
is an FDA-approved medication that mimics GLP-1 and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide) indicated for adults with obesity, or with excess weight (overweight) who also have weight-related medical problems, lose weight and keep it off. This unique medication that mimics two hormones naturally found in the body works together to stimulate insulin secretion and slow stomach emptying after a meal, signal to the brain that you feel full, thereby suppressing the appetite. Studies have shown more significant weight loss with Tirzepatide (21% weight loss) and milder side effects as compared to Semaglutide (15% weight loss).

How It Works
Once it is determined that you are right for the program, there is a thorough evaluation of your overall health, which includes blood tests, body composition analysis and an assessment of any underlying conditions.
This program consists of weekly injections under the skin. The provider will increase the medication dose gradually over 16-20 weeks with either medication. Committing to at least 3 months of treatment is imperative to see results. Weight-loss will vary with each individual. Nutritional changes and exercise are equally important factors throughout this weight loss journey.
Our program is designed to the help initiate weight-loss, but also most importantly, to maintain the loss. Our goal is to shift your mindset so that you are able to make healthier choices and enjoy them.
